Together We Can: AG and TreePeople

In celebration of Earth Month, AG partnered with TreePeople for a special volunteer event removing invasive plants and clearing trails.

At AG, we believe in leaving things better than we found them. We’re always looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact and make smarter, more sustainable choices. That mindset goes beyond our products—we’re also committed to giving back and supporting the communities around us.

In celebration of Earth Month, we partnered with TreePeople for a special volunteer event to help restore the Betty B. Dearing Trail at Coldwater Canyon Park. Their hands-on approach to sustainability, rooted in education and community, aligns with our own belief in purposeful action and long-term impact.

More than 20 AG team members spent their Saturday volunteering alongside TreePeople in habitat restoration. The day began with clearing trails overrun by invasive mustard plants - fast-growing weeds that increase wildfire risk in California dry seasons. In their place, we planted native species that not only restore ecological balance but are also more fire-resilient, helping to protect and preserve the land for seasons to come.

" I went for the dirt and sunshine but left with a new love for native plants!
Volunteering with TreePeople taught me how these local legends
help fight wildfires and keep pollinators busy. "

Pedro Garval (Customer Service Manager)

Perched above the iconic Mulholland Drive, this 45-acre park offers sweeping views of the Valley and San Gabriel Mountains. Connected to Wilacre Park and Franklin Canyon, the trail is a beloved home to native California plants, year-round springs, and lush canyons.

Based in Southern California, TreePeople has been around for over 50 years helping with tree plantings and care, water conservation, science-based policy and research, and so much more. They started as a grassroots effort and have grown into a major force for environmental change. Their main mission is to bring people together to care for the environment.

" Volunteering with TreePeople was equal parts educational,
meaningful, and fun! So glad I was able to be a part of such
a fulfilling team bonding experience! "

Catherine Kurtyak (Men’s Product Development Assistant)

From city neighborhoods to mountain trails, TreePeople offer volunteers of all ages hands-on experiences and partner with schools to inspire the next generation of eco-leaders. They also manage thousands of acres of land, protect vital habitats from development, and conduct research that helps shape smart environmental policy.

" Volunteering at TreePeople was such a great experience.
Restoring the land plus connecting with my team was rewarding! "

Clarissa Samano (Marketing Coordinator)
