Adding to our current offering of AG knits, the collection is cleverly guided by quality, comfort, and sophistication—the result an assemblage of pullovers and tees, polos, tanks, and crews that withstand the test of time. Colors include navy, green, pink, white, black, and gray.
The quality of AG’s Jersey Knits is rooted in refined technical details. Each garment is designed using an S-twist and Z-twist yarn that is then knitted together to create more stability, preventing unnecessary twisting and torquing. This helps to keep the seams where they need to be—right by your side. During the production process, the S-twist yarn is spun counter-clockwise creating a right-handed twill. The Z-twist yarn works in opposition, spinning clockwise for a left-handed twill. This opposition—when working together—yields a softer, more durable fabrication and gives strength to the yarn making it more difficult to pull apart.
With the implementation of this knit technique, AG recommits to providing luxuriously supple garments that live and breathe comfort. Our Jersey Knit collection is comprised of clean lines, while each garment is pre-shrunk to foster longevity. Our Jersey Knit can withstand 10 home washes before shrinkage may occur. Even then—this fabric will only shrink by ¼ of an inch, whereas traditional cotton garments might shrink by 1 full inch.
Each piece in the collection is comes together in one location, significantly reducing our company’s carbon footprint. Touting a vertical structure, AG has been a leader in progressing manufacturing processes towards a more sustainable future with early and significant investments in ozone technology, laser finishing, solar energy, and most recently water recycling. Today, AG recycles over 100,000 gallons of water per day, with the goal to recycle over 50 million gallons per year; that’s a 90% reduction from prior years.
