I have muscular 17.5-inch calves and normally wear the Graduate. The Protégé has approximately 0.5" more calf circumference and 1" larger bottom opening. These make the Protégé an excellent boot-cut. I'm glad that AG has been keeping up with these great-fitting, long-lasting jeans.

Very soft and comfortable. Had to wait for them to bring it back in a true straight leg cut. If these are like my last pairs of Protege they should last a long time.
